JD 535 netwrap problem

On my 535 I finally got it working thanks to txjim but rolled a f ew and now it won't get the net wrap to start into the baler. We put a new roll of JD wrap in it and same thing. Tried the powder again and nothing. Got the guide on bottom barely touching the belts. Can anybody help me here?

Please provide more information. Do netwrap feed rollers rotate when tying cycle is activated. If net isn't wrapping on rubber feed rollers due to high humidity or static electricity then leave powder in it's bottle. IIRC net guide shouldn't be touching belts. Do you have a net attachment operators manual # 87620?

Yes i got that manual and the rollers do turn when activated and it isn't sticking to the rubber rolls but it says to polish that brake rod I'm going to try that because it does seem like the roll of netwrap isn't turning to let the wrap out. I did polish the silver plates that the roll sets on

You folks who round baled with string and went to net wrap on older equipment was it a great idea or a can of worms from a baling standpoint? My baler is string and when I had cows I bought some net wrap. As a consumer I preferred the string when it came time to feed and net when it was time to store it waiting for feeding season.

I put 30,000 on my last JD rd baler utilizing net with very limited net problems.

I switched from twine wrapped to net wrapped bales over 20 yrs ago. I custom baled with JD rd balers for 35 yrs. I think twine application with JD rd balers on bale could be improved.

My last several JD rd balers that used twine were very difficult if no impossible to get twine spaced evenly on a bale on LH(drivers) side of bale.

Lastly I think twine shredding IE cutting could have been improved not leaving as many frazzled twine ends to be caught on crop stalks which cause twine to unwrap as bale rolled away from baler when ejected from baler.

Those strung out loose twine ends of twine require to be cut before moving bales to keep twine from being wrapped around tractor axles. And lets no overlook the twine that sometimes falls of edges of bales.

IMHO when feeding removing net from a bale if bale is supported from ground is much easier than removing loose twines.
