Looking for my grandpas Farmalls

Good morning everyone,
I'm currently looking for 2 of my grandpa's Farmall Hs he had when I was growing up. So three weeks ago I was on a family trip to Disney with the wife and kids for 2 weeks. After a week the rest of my family came to join to include my grandma. A few days before the trip was over I asked her if my grandpa had kept any info on the '46 and '51 Farmalls he had when I was growing up, which he sold in the mid 2000s to buy his Harley trike. She said she doubted it, so I planned to ask him when we got home. Well, less than 24 hours after asking her, my grandpa passed away and I never got to ask him. This past weekend I was going through one of his desks and found 4 envelopes. All containing receipts for both tractors from when he restored them with the serial numbers. The '46 was never finished when he had it to my knowledge but the '51 was. They're nothing special just your run of the mill H models. I'm hoping to try and locate both but I'm really more interested in the '51 as he had a placard dedicating the tractor me. The serial numbers are below. The picture is from when I was roughly 4 years old on th '51. No idea what shape it could be in now. It was sold from Cromwell CT. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well done,applauding your efforts on this task.
Having the serials is an excellent start .
I would suggest you put your story into as many forums as possible ,like red power, Farmall cub forum ,Smokstak FB
Also I think the tractors are probably in a hundred mile radius, so lost dog signs at high traffic Farmall locations county fairs ,tractor shows and railroad crossings.
Just a thought ,good luck
Was it an auction house that sold the tractors or private sale ?

Private sale ,to me is very encouraging. That’s me ,no facts to support this .
I think you can almost touch them from the grandpa estate so to speak of it . Where they are 25 years later in reality just have to be positive.

Unfortunately they could be anywhere. We are in Alabama,we bought a farmall Av at auction in GA, the seller had picked it up in Wisconsin. We refurbished it, sold it to a guy in north Alabama,he sold it to someone at the Half Century of Progress show. No idea where that buyer was from. But..... keep hope alive, anything is possible. I will post it on Facebook

Any of his friends around you can ask?
He probably chatted with someone about it around town

I figure it may take a while for me to locate them and god knows where they've ended up in the last couple decades but I am hopeful. I don't expect to find em over night. I just wish I had started this hunt sooner. I really appreciate you sharing this to FB.

He did but unfortunately I believe the very few people he talked to have passed away as well.

Not sure of your community size but id ask around the places he frequented
Parts stores
Local auction companies
Places they tell stories
Never know and you might get some interesting stories about him that have nothing to do with the tractor as well

Along with other good suggestions , check his church ,they could tell who he sold it to ,the year,the month,the day and the time. That’s a fact . Good post
