Those tile silos are very close in size to the one which was here. They are held together by steel bands hidden in voids in the tiles. I'd like to know what holds the brick silos together?
I demolished a silo foundation once that had a ring of used horseshoes all the way around for reenforcing. I worked on another old building with thick concrete walls where new openings had to be cut, there was all kinds of old steel in those walls, some 1"X2" strap.

On the outside of my basement wall a small piece of concrete popped off. A mower sickle is visible...basement was poured in 1955.
