September rainfall, such as it was.

We are on the opposite end of the scale. It is pure mud here in north Missouri and we have only had a couple of times where we could work the ground. It rained four inches this past Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My wife planted fall crops in the garden twice and each time they have drowned. Still waiting to seed rye and it will be at least a week of drying before I can get in the field.

It’s odd here, we are almost in a drought as the subsoil is fairly dry, but my back yard has gotten dribble sprinkles every 3-4 days so the crops did great, at least they look great, see if it dries off enough to actually harvest.

Rivers are low, top soil is saturated.

Weather folks were talking about flood warnings for this weekend. Didn't happen, but we did get .91 over the past couple of days. It was slow and steady, so hopefully will soak in and break the dry spell.

It just keeps getting worse. It's now been a calendar year since I had water in the creek. Both springs that feed it are barely moist. No rain has hurt.

Historically, I should have 5.1" in September and last year in my station I recorded 2.18". This year: 0.95". That equates to 18.6% of historical normal. There is a threat of some rain this weekend.
7.59" in September here in NE Wisconsin with over 34" so far this year which is about 7 inches more than average.
