    Adding a 450 reared on a Super M

I tried searching and I seem to only find info on installing a SM motor into a 450. I want to do the opposite and install a complete 450 rear from the bell housing back onto my SM. My only concern is what will I have to do for the hyd and steering wheel pedestal? Will the 450 holes line up?

Cast wheel centres for Double Bevel rims - 36"- 38&quot

I noticed in a post earlier about the H and M's using the same cast wheel center for both the 36" and 38" wheel options. Is this the case with a double bevel rim on a 340 or 300?

Things to see and do in VT, NH, and ME.

The wife and I will be dropping down into Vermont from QC and heading back east through the US. We don't want to get too far south but want to spend a few days heading home. Any suggestions on what to see, websites for local fairs, good shopping destinations (besides North Conway and...

    340 Governor bearings

I'm trying to get my governor rebuilt by this upcoming weekend. If I cannot find any bearings in time, any reason why I couldn't replace the bearings with a bushing on the governor shaft? I'm re-bushing the throttle shaft anyway so it wouldn't be a big deal to the other shaft at the same time.

Adding a turbo to 236 Perkins

Other versions of my 670 MF have a similar engine with turbo and also the AD4.236 is turboed for other applications. Can anyone let me know if it's possible to squeeze one under the hood of a 670? Would the injection pump handle the extra air?

    Int 5100 drill and canola?

How many horsepower would this drill call for on moderately sloped to level ground? Has fert and grass seed boxes also. I plan on seeding between 4.5 to 5 lbs/acre and would like to use my 670 MF to pull it.

Prepping for a few hours on the dyno

I'll have my super m rebuild completed shortly and plan on taking it to my new holland dealer for dyno time. This will be my first time spending any time on the dyno and I want to make sure I'm prepared. I'll have a fresh c264 over bore kit, head, cam, roller rockers, electronic ignition...

    Wheelies bars help or hinder?

I pull locally with a short Farmall 340 a few times a year. Two out of six pulls I had problems with the tires grabbing part way down the track and then the front end went sky high. Would the drag created from the wheelie bars touching override the benefit of keeping my drawbar higher in...

    MF670 Fuel issues

Do any of you know off hand if there are additional fuel filters besides the main one? Each year I drain the tank and replace the fuel filter and have had no issues to date. Two days ago I had the tractor die on the side of the road and I assumed the fuel froze. I towed it to the shop...

Best bang for the buck - SM C264 Rebuild

Hi Guys, I'm rebuilding my Super M and like everyone else, want the best HP for the dollar. My standard overbore in frame kit with dome pistons runs a hair under $500.00. I have a couple of good 8060 DC heads, the best one will be reworked. Without spending a ton of extra cash, are there any...

MF670 with 238 Loader - Front axle loads

Anyone know what the max load rating would be for my 670's front axle? I installed the loader a couple of years ago and put in a joystick loader valve at the same time. With the loader hoses plugged directly to remotes, I can pick way more then the tractor will handle. I adjusted my pressure...

Widening rims - Does 1-2" make a significant difference

I'm changing out the rear tires on my tractor and I always thought through a rough measurement, I had 11" rims for my 12.4's. With the tires off I can get a true measurement and I only have 10" rims. With the 12.4's I should ideally have 11" rims and when I eventually swap out to 13.6's I'll...

Upsize to 38" from 36" Double bevel to single?

I'd like to install a set of 13.6x38's on my 340 from my SM. The 340 has a 2.5" axle while the SM is 2.75" so and simple hub swap won't work. The 340 has double bevel rims while the SM is single. Is it possible to get the SM wheels onto the 340 centers?

    C135 Rebuild in a 340

I've been having some serious blow by with my engine and after my next pull I will be doing an overhaul. I know that there is limited support for gaining more hp, but can I make better parts choices for the overhaul besides the standard rebuild kit? I have all new ignition from the plugs...

    Reworking a m head for a super m

I picked up a 53 super m that is in need of a new head. Locally all I can find are m heads. Can I rework the m to super m specs?
