    calcium chloride in tires from factory

    I recently picked up a model M and in reading the operator's manual it said the tires come from the factory filled with calcium chloride. Does anyone know this to be true? The rear tires are badly cracked and I'd like to replace them. Sounds like I'd be getting into a real mess.

    8n balance point

    I trailered my 8N for the first time today. I backed it unto the trailer and centered the gearshift between the tandems. I thought that I had a little more tongue weight than I'd like. Anyone know where the center is for an 8n without loaded tires or weights?

    Winter cover

    Does anyone have a picture of a correctly installed winter cover for the 8N that can be purchased on this site? Twist-lock section to front? Wrapped around front axle? Bumper inside or out of cover? Radius rods inside or out? Dress left or right (lol)? Thanks, Pip

    Fuel line fittings Red Kote

    I steamed out the cruddy fuel tank on my 8N and lined it with Red Kote over the weekend. I've used other types of fuel tank liners before for stationary engines.     I recently bought my first "big" tractor. It's an 8N that someone started to restore and then let lay for 15 years.
