NAPA Ignition Parts For 801/901 Series Fords
I haven't been on this board for a long time, so this may have been discussed before. I went to NAPA today to get an ignition condenser for my 961, but the only way to purchase one seems to be to buy a "kit" with the points, condenser, rotor, [u:4fd7b00687]cap and plugs[/u:4fd7b00687], not in... -

Ford 4000 High-crop?
There is a 4000 tractor listed on the Columbus, OH craigslist that the guy claims is a Hi-crop. I don't know if Ford ever built such a critter - it looks like a row crop with WFE to me. He is asking $3800 which doesn't seem outlandish if it all checks out... -

Replacement seat for 961
I have a 961 with the Resto Ride seat on it which I don't think is repairable. There seems to be a source for the rubber gizmos , but mine has one of the flat springs broken where the support rods connect to the base. These are made of spring steel, so welding is probably out of the question -... -

Ford 961 transmission (5 speed) shifter info
I know that I have seen a shifter lockout for this transmission that blocks the gear shift from going down into the 4th -- 5th gear shift gate. It is a simple gizmo that bolts to the transmission cover and has a tab that you can flip up to block the shift lever. Easy enough to make yourself... -

Heads up on 5000 Hi Crop
FYI - there is a Ford 5000 Hi Crop(?) advertised in the Columbus OH Craigslist. Seller calls it a Hi Crop, but it looks like a row crop with a wide front axle, if Ford ever made such an animal. He says it is located in SE Michigan, so I don't know what other areas it is listed in. Looks nice... -
