Instrument Panel Ford 1000 series.
Am I the only one who hates those spires nuts used to retain the instrument panel on a Ford 5000 but also any 1000 series tractor? Why could they not have provided tapped holes with a thread? Can't be cost. You can guess what happened , yes in reinstalling the panel it slipped and two wires... -

Ford 5000 Head Gasket
ave a 1965 Pre Force 5000 which has has an engine rebuild with new pistons and liners but now i have a head gasket problem. In the engine rebuild because new liners were fitted the block was skimmed and so was the head although i am told by the engine machine shop only 10 thou was removed. The... -

Not a good day.
Just rebuilt the engine in my Ford 5000, left it sitting for a week and have noticed anti freeze seaping out of the head gasket on the fuel pump side of the engine. The engine has been through a reputable engine shop so iknow the block and head are flat and not warped. The gasket is one of the... -
