    630 tachometer

    Where can I buy internal parts for a John Deere 630 tachometer and how do you set the hour meter to zero? Broke needle off shaft when I took the tach apart.

    DC compression

    Did a compression test on my DC and got 80#s on all cylinders. Is that low? Looked in manuals and could not find what it should be. Would like to get around 135#s. How much do I need to machine off head to achieve that kind of compression.

    Broken Bolts

    Broke off 2 out of 4 3/4-10 bolts that hold on the hitch when trying to take the hitch off. Friend said a person can burn em out with a cutting torch because the steel with melt before the cast iron. Has any one tried this method of burning broken bolts out? Gravity is at least on my side.

    Does the cast iron center drive hub (bolted to the flywheel) fit the A B D G H? or were there different sizes? What is the correct name for this unit?

    I am Machining and selling the John Deere crank shaft socket in YT photo adds/tractor related items. Feel free to give me some feed back. Tommorrow going to machine a socket that fits in the John Deere 4 groove flywheel hub that will fit a A B G and D. Your input or comments are appreciated...
