With one leg or foot I guess. No matter how you look at it it is a half-as*ed system.

    Electric Splitter/ Way Off Topic

Thank you! I guess now I will play with different switches. Perhaps a foot switch or a button on the hydraulic lever. Winter in the Northeast is tinker time anyway.

    Electric Splitter/ Way Off Topic

Out in my shed I have a 28 ton gas powered splitter. I have used this for 10 years. It only requires one hand to operate so I just can't see the safety aspect of an electric 5 ton machine requiring two hands to operate. As a matter of fact it might just be more dangerous in certain situations.

    Electric Splitter/ Way Off Topic

I seem to always get good advice here this forum is usually pretty easy going about off topic subjects. So I though maybe you guys could give some insight. I inherited a brand new electric log splitter. (Grizzly 5 ton)http://frontiernet.net/~jcaxtell/Split.jpg I know its not up to rigorous...

OT How well were you represented?

Despite what most are ranting and raving about, there is plenty of money in this country to support the best health-care system in the world. It is just a matter of priorities. How much money, lives and anguish is wasted now in this long drawn out war in Iraq. A war , by the way, that was...

OT How well were you represented?

[b:cddbcca725]"Meds illegal to obtain from over our borders"? Mr.Axtell seems to be doing that to the tune of a $1400.00 a month savings.[/b:cddbcca725] Still I think you miss the point. Those meds should be provided to us all at the same or lower price than other countries pay. You sound like...

    OT BAD BRAKES NO ACELLERATOR!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to show how bass-ackward things can get. We have been Toyota owners since the early 80's. So, Like JW Axtell we thought maybe we could get a deal on one of these recalled models and called around. I'm talking only about the Camray and the Corollas. But it appears that since none are now...

ARPS Front Snow Blade Trip Springs

Re: Camber I took the liberty of doctoring the pic from Jack L. I don't know how to attach a picture. Perhaps you can do it. Anyway, it shows the location of camber adjustment holes in your blade. If the blade is set up with the bottom edge too far back (top too far forward) it will trip back...

    Cold start trick

No. Where did I say the tractor started? What I said was that even though I have a heater in the lower hose I still have to heat the manifold on very cold days. Tractor Guru or not Maybe before posting back with wise-a** or belittling replies you should read and understand the post

    Cold start trick

I have a heater in the lower hose of my Jubilee but my carb still freezes up below15 degrees F. Been using a heat lamp on it but a heat gun might work better.

    Weight.

I very rarely post but I do read all posts. I am aware now of Dell's habits and expertise when replying to questions. More often than not though he comes off sounding rude and self-important. Forum communication, e-mail and instant messaging also do not convey all the nuances that other forms of...

    NAA Link Assembly

No not a real problem but it does seem to explain some of the minor things going wrong a bit. Like the stabilizer bars binding now and again or making the 3 point hookups a bit more difficult. I'll probably attend to it in the spring.

    NAA Link Assembly

NAA While installing back blade last weekend I noticed something new to me. When at plowing level I had adjusted the leveling crank so that plow was level and therefore the lower link assemblies were level, or at least even. However, when I raised the plow to it's fullest height one of the...

    Stuck brake drum

If all you are removing it for is to shave the edges forget it. It's really not that important. Mine work fine without shaving or beveling squat. If you just have to get it apart: Try whacking the drum with a hammer in several locations as you work the thing outward. Having a helper stomp and...

    Naa Cotterkey drain holes

My NAA is similar but without the plate. Just four bolts in a square pattern near the tranny. I assume this is for some type of implement attachment. No cotter keys though. Perhaps they were filled, either on purpose or by dirt and grime, and then painted over
