    depth control on fast hitch

    There are 2 ways to use the depth control. The fast hitch has a "lockout" pin that will provide downpresure, or you can unlock it to only control the depth; otherwise it can "float". I use mine all the time, seems to work for me. Good luck1

    International #10 Thrower

    I had the same problem, and the shorter bale made all the difference. I had gone from an IH 46 pull-and-stack, to a IH 430 All Twine, with a #10 thrower and there was a learning curve with that thrower! Nice bales, just oddly short. They don't stack as nice in the haymow, either, IMHO.

    I use a McCormick MF drill, with a cultipacker pulled behind it. It is an 8 ft drill; I block every other hole, so I plant 12" rows. The double disc openers that run in the tractor tread marks, I increased spring pressure to those rows. I set scale to 8 1/4 pecks, and planted. with the good...
