    Type of oil used in cream seperator?

    My uncle has a cream separator that was handed down to him. He would like to use it but is concerned with what type of oil it should have. It is either a McCormick Deering or IH. I don't know the model. Would some Hy-Trans work just fine? Can you get manuals for them? Any info would be helpful...

    504 ps options?

    Were there aftermarket power steering options for the farmall 504s? or can a existing IH system be added to a factory non ps tractor? I personally have a torque generator on my 504, but ask on behalf of a friend whos 504 does not have any steering assistance, and wishes it did.

    Did some plowing today, and after about a 1.5-2 hours of trouble free plowing i bogged down in a spot and didn't lift the plows quick enough and stalled. It didn't want to start back up easily. When i did get it started it would loose power sporadically after it got hot, and eventually loose...

    Thanks. That makes sense, but there doesn't seem to be a notch for the lever to be in the engaged position. Parts book doesn't show one either.

    504 pto Problems

    Every time i use the pto for work i have to pull and hold the lever up to make it work. When i disengage the pawl from the quadrant and let the lever be, the pto does little to nothing. It seems to be slipping. Do i need to adjust the linkage? Or does the pto need new parts?

    SHRINKING CYLINDER LINER SLEEVES FOR INSTALLATION.

    You can get co2 cylinders with a siphon tube in them or if you got a co2 cylinder w/o a siphon tube just turn the tank upside down when you open the valve. Cheaper and hardly and chance of explosion. If you have or can get a co2 cylinder you can make dry ice any time you wish.
