504 Dies When Hot?

Did some plowing today, and after about a 1.5-2 hours of trouble free plowing i bogged down in a spot and didn't lift the plows quick enough and stalled. It didn't want to start back up easily. When i did get it started it would loose power sporadically after it got hot, and eventually loose power enough to stall, even after pushing the clutch in. Did this 4 or 5 times today. Temp gauge doesn't show any change in temp. But that's probably busted. Radiator didn't boil over or steam, and is full. Would seem to happen after tractor was good and hot. was low 90's here today. plowed in 2nd drive and 3rd ta, harrowed in 2nd drive, throttle 3/4 to full. Did i damage something when i stalled the first time? I'm just not sure how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Check your coil. My old 504 would do the same thing... One time I happened to feel the coil and it was very hot. It was a tractor supply coil, so I wrote it off as a cheap coil and replaced it with a Flamethrower coil... Cleared the problem right up. Next time you run it wait untill it dies then check the coil to see if it is really hot, warm is okay not hot. Good luck.
