    Replacing Starter Switch

Thanks so much Royce. I would have never thought to look under there. BTW, what is that pretty red/orange paint you have on there. I've been trying to find the right mix and that looks perfect. Where did you get it and is there a paint number? Thanks again.

    Replacing Starter Switch

I've got to replace the starter switch on my Ford 641 with 4 speed transmission. Removing the shifter plate from the transmission looks pretty straight forward, but was wanting to know if there are any gotchas in there that I should be aware of. Does the cover just lift straight off or are...

    ford 601 color

I don't think the 601 was medium gray, but rather "light gray", almost white. Sorry I don't have the ppg code.

    801 Throttle spring

Bob, me and you must have went to the same school, cause I do the same thing. I'm finding out (usually after it's too late) that I don't know near as much as I thought I did.

    Fuel Line Routing

Thanks all for your help and the pictures. You've given me some ideas to work on. One more question if I may; do any of you use a thread sealer of some sort on the connectors? If so, what kind should I use that is compatible with gasoline? I sure don't want anything clogging the carb again...

    Fuel Line Routing

Yes, that does help. For $51.00 however, I think I can make my own now that you've given me a picture. Is that the tractor place in Alma, GA?

    Fuel Line Routing

I have a question pertaining to the fuel line on a Ford 641 tractor. First, how was the fuel line originally routed from the fuel cut off valve to the carb? Does it run down "behind" the intake/exhaust pipes? That's the way mine is routed with a combination steel and rubber gas line. I'm...

    I Have an illness

Rick those kind of illnesses can be devastating. Two projects like that for a guy in your poor health is just too much. Please allow me to ease some of the stress, pain and suffering you surely must be experiencing. As a fellow Georgian, I would be willing to take either of those tractors off...

    1953-1954 Ford Tractor Value

That's right. Right behind the starter on the hump. You may have to clean it off real good to see the number as some of them are stamped pretty light.

    1953-1954 Ford Tractor Value

You can't go by the nose emblem. People put the 53 emblemz on them all the time to sell them hoping to get a little more money. The only way you can tell for sure is to look at the serial number.

    Carb Pouring Gas

Well I took it back off again today to make sure I hadn't left a gasket off (I didn't). I put just the upper half back on and turned on the gas while holding the float up. It cut the flow of gas right off. I then took it back off and started looking at the float real close and it looked like...

    Carb Pouring Gas

I put the old needle and seat back in mine today also and it does the same thing, no difference. This tractor was running find until just the other day when I went to crank it and the gas came pouring out. It's definitely a head scratcher.

    Carb Pouring Gas

No, I haven't done that yet old. Mosquitos were about to eat me up so I had to quit and come inside. That's the first thing on my list tomorrow.

    Carb Pouring Gas

Fellas is the needle and seat the only place that gas can get by to flood the carb? Is there any other orifice or something that gas can get by? Anything else that I should be looking at? I appreciate your comments, but I've tried all that you have mentioned so far, but it's still doing it...

    Carb Pouring Gas

    Carb Pouring Gas

Folks I'll tell you right up front that I have posted this same question on another forum, so I apologize in advance for the redundancy, but I need more help. As the subject says, the Marvel Schebler TSX 765 carb on my tractor is pouring gas out of the air intake. I have taken it apart and...

    Hydraulic Control Valve

I'm posting this question for my brother. He has a '53 Jubilee/NAA that has a problem with the hydraulic lift. It was leaking down real fast and eventually got to where it wouldn't lift at all. It was also hiccupping real bad when it did get the load up. He took it to a shop for repairs and...
