Replacing Starter Switch

I've got to replace the starter switch on my Ford 641 with 4 speed transmission. Removing the shifter plate from the transmission looks pretty straight forward, but was wanting to know if there are any gotchas in there that I should be aware of. Does the cover just lift straight off or are there any clips, pins, etc. that I'll need to remove as I lift it off? Does the transmission have to be in a certain gear or in neutral?
Thanks for your help.

I lift the four speeds straight off with it in neutral.
The only gotcha I can think of, assuming the 641 still has it,
is the shift detent spring and ball under the back end of it.
It can stick to the plate and then fall off in the transmission
or otherwise get lost. It is not a big powerful spring that will
go flying, just something to watch so you don't lose it.

It would be under the little tab I circled in green.

Thanks so much Royce. I would have never thought to look under there. BTW, what is that pretty red/orange paint you have on there. I've been trying to find the right mix and that looks perfect. Where did you get it and is there a paint number? Thanks again.

once you get the cover off, clean gasket surfaces, then bend down keeper tabs and run nut off, remov eold switch, install new one, D hole so can't spin, install nut/keepers, new gasket and go.
