    Hub replacement on Farmall SM

I?m looking to replace the traditional Farmall front hubs and rims on my SM with a 5 or 6 bolt pattern hub and pressed steel rim without changing the whole bolster. Can anyone tell me what size hub and bearing will fit the current spindle?

Yes, they do work, but you can get a similar spring or springs at TSC for a lot less money. You can try different lengths to see which works best for your governor.

    Super m

If you want to make this engine into a 281, all you have to do is change the the sleeves and pistons from 4" to 4 1/8" without boring. If you want to get any bigger piston, you will have to bore the block. If you just want to raise compression and add power, look for some Firecrater or M&W...

sled at New London OH Labor Day pull?

The Singer sled was there last year. I haven't heard who was going to be there this year. There was some grumbling about their sleds dropping the pan on the antique classes, especially the stock classes. With the size of their sleds, I don't understand why they would need to do that especially...

    450 lp head

I put a 450 lp head on my Super M last winter. It has 4" Firecrater pistons. I had plenty of clearance. If you want to add a little more bang for your buck, add Murphy's roller rockers. They'll give you a few extra hp over just the lp head.

    murphy's roller rockers

Last winter I put an LP 450 head on my Farmall Super M & I mated it with Murphy's roller rockers. Really woke it up! Murphy's roller rockers are a high quality product that looks good and are easy to install. Well worth the money if you want a little extra advantage over your pulling...

    Farmall SM gearing

I pull a Farmall SM in 5 mph classes. It has plenty of power in 1st gear, but it only runs about 3 mph. Running 2nd gear @ just under 4 mph , it runs out of power. I'm looking to get a little bit more momentum to compete against higher horsepower tractors without spending a lot to to do it. I...

I Wonder How These Tires Will Pull??

I have a pair of Goodyear Suregrips on my Super M that I pull in 3 mph classes. The tread design is identical to yours but they only have about 25-30% tread. They work excellent on a wet or soft track with about 9-10 psi in them. On a hard or dry track you will have to increase the psi 2-4#'s to...

    Super M

I just put an lp head on my Super M. It has a stock stroke with Firecrater pistons that have a little over 3/8 inch dome. So if they don' t have any more of a step to them than that they should work.

    Valve clearance

Would I have enough valve clearance on a c-264 Farmall engine with fire crater pistons to install a 450 lp head? Then could I also install 1.9 & 1.7 high ratio roller rockers on it with a stock cam and still have enough clearance?

Farmall SM with M&W 65 crank and pistons

Would oversized valves or stock valves work better? If I need oversized valves, where would a good place to buy them? Also are there any thoughts on porting the head and intake?
