    Any diesel rated 5w40 or 0w40 will be fine, run it all year if you want. As a 40 year heavy equipment operator I can tell you there is not a large excavating company anywhere that runs anything other then regular 15w40 or some lately running 10w30 diesel oil and most are doing 500 hr oil change...

    Those are planetary gears and you do fill up to that level with any transmission/hydraulic oil that meets Permatran III specs. There is a drain plug there too.

    Super Major Oils

    I looked up N/H 134D, it will work and it's 10w30 weight. There's no fear of contaminating implement hydraulics using 15W40 or any other of the recommended oils as they are also good hydraulic oils.

    MF/Terex/Fermec 650B slow moving

    I have the MF 50H-HX operators manual and it is very thorough. The 50HX appears to similar to your Fermac. You check and fill the transmission fluid through the floor board below your feet.

    The 4.270D block was good that these came out of last year thank goodness. A new 4.270 block would be a treasure.

    Super Major Oils

    The Fordson Major line of tractors called for "HD" oils to be used in them. HD oil is a detergent oil, you should never use a non-detergent oil in any engine that is pressure lubricated and has a oil filter. Detergent oils have been around since the 1940's.

    Any 15w40 or 30w diesel rated "CK" oil will be fine for the engine, transmission, and rear end. The rear end and hydraulics share the same sump so do not use hydraulic fluid in the rear end.
