    So the threaded plug behind the flywheel has rusted a hole in it and I can t get it to turn to replace it Should I drill it out or try to weld the hole up It looks like cast iron with 1 1/8 hex in the center

    Ford 8000 hydraulic pump

    I had some metal chips jam into the little relief valve on the pro circuit that prevented it from moving on stayed open all the time making pressure low Have to pull pump to remove the valve to clean it

    4200 steering

    Had to grind a slot in the remaining hub and heat it in hydraulic press to get the shaft pushed off badly rusted. Was able to clean up the threads in the lathe so now if I had a steering arm I could put it back together with some anti seize

    Finally got it apart Ports power and heat did not work Resorted to cutting the steering arms off Hope I can save the shaft the threads are badly beat up Now how do I make a replacement arm?

    I have not been able to push the shaft out of the steering arm Had it red hot and the complete bolster in the hydraulic press Thinking I will have to cut the steering arm out and try to salvage the shaft Looks difficult to make a new one to fit
