    3020D 24V Starter

I don't know. The wiring diagram that I have for a 3020 diesel only shows a single regulator. Tx Jim: what causes the solenoid to stick with low batteries? Does it chatter and then basically welds itself because it's arcing over rather than making a fast, clean, connection? J

    3020D 24V Starter

I didn't know for sure until I did some searching. The wiring diagram that I have for a 3020 diesel only shows a single regulator, however, it appears at some point there was an updated loom for the 3020 that added a second regulator. I don't have that diagram though; maybe someone else does...

    3020D 24V Starter

Hmmm. There are two regulators. I think the brown wire from the loom goes to the small terminal on the back of the solenoid (inner). I had it on the S terminal where the safety switches end. J

    3020D 24V Starter

Thanks, Jim. Right battery is 12.95 left battery is 13 volts. I tested hooking the solenoid and starter upb the way it would be on the tractor and then firing the solenoid and it all seems okay. If I hook negative up to the negative post on the solenoid and I hook positive up to the positive...

    3020D 24V Starter

Hi All! My 3020 Diesel needed a starter. I was able to get a reman locally from a reputable source and I have the following symptoms that I'm puzzled by. I got the starter put on, wired up, and connected R and L batteries back up and fired it up. Starter worked great; tractor fired right...

Case 480C Forward/Reverse loss and Clutch Disconnect

Hi! I have a new to me 480C with what I think is maybe an electrical problem but I've never had one before and so I don't have a lot of experience troubleshooting them. I have 2 problems, but they may be related so I'm sharing them both for somebody who has more experience than I do. 1)...

    550 PTO Shaft

I've looked pretty long at it. The shear happened along a crack that appears to have started in the hole in the stub shaft for the retention bolt. It had been that way for a while because there was a hint of rust along the crack, which tells me it had been weakened in the past. I think the...

    550 PTO Shaft

Hi folks! I have a project that's been staring at me all summer..and now that my employment status has changed, I have a bit of time to dig in and I'm looking for advice/ideas. I've got a 550 where the PTO stub shaft sheared off this spring. I've pulled the retaining bolt and tried a lot...

    550 Clutch Safety Switch

Awesome. Thank you! I haven't pulled the instrument cluster on mine, but, I need to replace the key, light, and fuel/temp gauge. I suspect mine is disconnected and that is what I will find when I have the dash apart. Wife or daughter may drive this one.. so want to get that switch sorted out...

    Oliver wire terminals

Hi, I don't know if these are unique to Olivers.. I have an 1850D that I'm rebuilding the wiring harness for; I had thought I'd just have to re-use the old terminals (there that slide onto the keyswitch).. but I saw a still shot from a video the other day and the guy appeared to have new...

    550 Clutch Safety Switch

Is it threaded into the clutch pivot into the hole at the end there?

    550 Clutch Safety Switch

Hey again folks! I'm looking for some photos or a good description of the safety switch setup. Looking at my 550, I appear to have the switch, but, it's probably been defeated as I don't see any way it could be actuated. Looking at the parts book, it appears there should be a rod...

    550 front PTO lever

Looking at mine, it is also missing the spring and I was looking; appears to me if you knock the roll pin out of the latch, you should be able to pull the button out and re-spring it; though maybe that rod tha actuates the latch threads into the base of the button.. which means it's probably...

    550 front PTO lever

Ahhhhhh. I was lookin at the image of the rear lever and not drawing the conclusion that the other one was the front mounted. After looking at that; i think I'm only missing the spring, and, the part that bolts onto the tractor that it latches to; think I can make that easily enough. I spent...

    550 front PTO lever

550 Front PTO lever Does anyone have photos of one of these on a tractor? The partsbook online doesn't let me get my head around how this should look. Parts are missing for sure. I just picked up a 550 and i think the PTO engagement lever is in front, ahead of my right knee. It's missing...

    1850D Tachometer Drive

Thanks Jack, Comparing to my 2-105, the aux-drive block appears different. At this point I think I have the right-angle adapter filed to where it will work. An 80 speedo cable is proper length, but, the driven end is the wrong configuration for whatever was meant to engage in the...
