John Deere FB-B Grain Drill Restoration parts needed

Bought a funnel from JD a couple weeks ago for a FBB. Part number was superseded and the part was described as plastic. But it turned out to be metal and exactly like the old one. I was happy to get it. But then, only needed one.

    John Deere 37 Sickle

Refurbishing a 37 JD sickle. Numerous parts were missing. Having a problem installing the pitman arm. Mainly the spring release Z 7327H. What does it do, and is it nessesary? It looks like the spring release fits into a tab on the Fork,Latch P 47370. My Fork does not have this tab. Parts were...

    JD 671 rake

Any tricks to rebuilding the tooth bar bearing housing. The knuckle broke. Thought it would be an easy rebuild. Was going to reuse the bearings. How do you get the bearings out without destroying them?

    Pecan harvester

I did a search for Pecan Harvester auctions. Did a search on the machines that came up. It is a Nut Hustler. With that information, found a U tube. Which confirmed it is a Nut Hustler. Now to find parts or a manual. Thanks for the idea.

    Pecan harvester

Found a pecan harvester in the brush. Looks complete and salvageable. Cannot find any serial number plates. Trying to figure out the manufacture. It is painted blue, possibly manufactured in Lampasas, TX. Thanks for all of the help.

    JD 37 sickle

Why did JD offer 2 flywheel speeds. 850 or 950 at 540 PTO? I assume its crop related, but do not see any reference in the Op manual. Is there a good place to fine used parts?

    PTO wood chippers

I have owned/used several wood chippers. The best one is Woodmax. 8 inches is getting close to its limits though. Feed is hydraulic, slow the feed rate down for the big stuff.

    Looking for Scour-Kleen Screen

I had a company that makes screens for combines punch out three different sizes. Then took the flat sheets to a sheet metal shop to have them run them through a roll machine and spot weld them. I would have to do some searching to find the company.

Seeking opinions for round baler upgrade

I've been using Vermeer balers. Seem to require less hp than most. Was using a 504F. Did a good job for me, but was getting tired. Found a Vermeer 5400. It also does a good job. Making the biggest heaviest bale it will allow. Both would work with 40 hp. If you are happy with the baler you...

    Vermeer 504F twine issue

I was having the same problem on mine. Took the whole assembly apart, checked for bent parts, lubed it good. As I recall, took that collier off, which fixed the problem. I sold the 504F and bought a 5400. It was flat worn out. Was going to have to replace the sheet metal in the baling...

    Vermeer R8

Have early Vermeer R8R and R8L rakes. Going to rebuild them. Was wondering what the differences were between the R8,R8A and R8B. Any improvements I could make as they changed models. I know at some point they offered a hydraulic drive option. Plan to keep them ground driven as long as...
