    9n dash to 8n Zenith carb throttle linkage

    I slapped my 8n motor onto my 9n. The 8n has a zenith carb. Anyone have any pics of how they route their throttle linkage in such a scenario? I know on a 9n there is a rod on top of the engine. But the throttle on this 8n/zenith carb is controlled down at the carb, rather than the gov...

    Thanks for the input. My issue is, i have no shims in the main shaft or on the sherman backing plate, and my main shaft still doesnt have enough preload. More shims would only decrease the preload further.

    I have rebuilt my 9n transmission, and installed the proper 7113A counter shaft gear to made with the sherman input shaft. That went smoothly. I installed the sherman backing plate (with no shims) and the tractor transmission main shaft rotates very freely. I have installed the main shaft...
