    1943 2N no oil pressure

OK so I split the tractor. Got the engine on a stand. Removed oil pan. Someone did a mighty sloppy job last time the pan was r&r'd. There is blue and red RTV mixed up with old gasket remnants where the pan gasket should be. I was able to move the oil pump pickup tube a bit back and forth with...

    1952/8N radiator mounting

For the thermostat I used a little Dawn and forced that sucker in there. BTW where are you in Northwest Fl? I regularly travel between Pinellas and Dixie counties. My 2N tractor is in Dixie.

    1943 2N no oil pressure

Tim Daley, thanks for the guidance. rbuckel, I did try disconnecting the gauge at the fitting on the engine block. I had no oil come out while cranking. I'll be at the tractor in about 8 or 9 days and may have a chance to try a couple more things as suggested. Thanks all! I'll post back with...

    1943 2N no oil pressure

R Gieger, thanks for the advice. I'll check both. As for the manuals, I guess I wasn't clear. My bad. The manual I described as Ferguson actually says on the cover, this from top to bottom: 1939-1947, Ford Tractor, Ferguson System, Service Manual, Model 9N and 2N, for, Owners and Mechanics, it...

    1943 2N no oil pressure

I bought the tractor a while ago as a toy. I have two other tractors that do all the work I need but I've always wanted one of these old Fords. An opportunity presented itself and I took it. So fast forward to more recent times. I was out on a dirt road tooling around on my N and noticed I had...

    2N rear axle housing leak

I'm an old dude that's been wrenching on cars, trucks and you name it since the '70s. I just need a little input/advice on a right rear axle housing leak. On the right side between the (I got these part numbers from the FO-4 manual) plate 9N562B and the housing 2N4013A2, I've got oil weeping...

    New to me 2N

I just had a thought..... Could the spindles be correct for the model but just on the wrong sides of the tractor? RH on LH and vise versa? That would definitely change the position of the keyway.

    New to me 2N

Last time I was there I moved the axle out one hole. That should solve my alt problem. However, it presented a new problem. I don't have enough adjustment left in my drag link ends to get the toe right. I have them out way too far and it is still toe'd way too far in. After a little research I...

2N radiator supports bent all to h***

Well maybe I exaggerated a little... I'm looking for real world experience straightening this out. I know someone else has had to do this. Probably LOTs of folks! I wonder why the radiator was leaking  [/img:5670ea5f2f]
