    Coil hook up

Hi All, On a 1952 positive ground, 6 volt, NAA, how should the coil be wired? Does the + or - terminal connect to the distributor? Also, on a coil that only has a "BATT" identifying one terminal on a coil (with the other having no identification), what does the BATT signify, + or -? Thanks...

    Electrical Problem

Think I'm getting a little closer to the problem. Talked to a mechanic and after describing the voltage drop across the starter solenoid, he thinks I may have a short in the distributor. I will disconnect the wire from the minus post of the coil and see if I still get the drop in voltage at...

    Electrical Problem

Hi All, I did some testing with the meter. Now I"m no expert when it comes to the meter or electricity but that being said, I found the following. I jumped the different parts of the system stating at the battery to ground and working out to the coil. I have 6+ volts at the coil, both in...

    Electrical Problem

Thanks for the reply. I did try the new voltage regulator with nil results so I put the old one back in. One of my friends was wondering if there could be a problem with ground but if the starter engages okay, can there still be a ground problem? Thanks again for your help and the diagram...

    Electrical Problem

Hi All, I'm still having trouble with my NAA. I'm not getting a spark from the coil and an electrician friend advised that there was no current getting to the coil. I had the distributor rebuilt, a new coil, new 6V battery and the black solenoid unit that the battery negative post connects to...

    Won't run - No Spark

I appreciate the response but I meant the last 5 months. It was probably late spring/early summer 2007 that the work was done. I really don"t think that"s the problem but I"ll definately look at them and clean them. I never had a problem of this sort in over 20 years and then all of a sudden...

    Won't run - No Spark

Well the first message disappeared so here's #2. I had my NAA worked on and tuned up after I couldn't get it to run this last year. But it's acting up again. I'm unable to contact the gentleman that worked on it. I originally bought the tractor from his family's dealership (now closed) in...
