Coil hook up

Hi All,
On a 1952 positive ground, 6 volt, NAA, how should the coil be wired? Does the + or - terminal connect to the distributor?

Also, on a coil that only has a "BATT" identifying one terminal on a coil (with the other having no identification), what does the BATT signify, + or -?

Thanks in advance.

(+) to the distributor.

Unfortunately, that depends upon whether the coil was originally manufactured for a (+) ground system or (-) ground system. The markings will be the opposite between the two.

It is easy to tell on an ignition "scope' which is the correct way. You can also tell with the old "pencil lead in the spark trick".
