cub cadet 1572 hydrostatic leak fix
well boo. I wish I would have seen this before now. I have the hydro out, but I don"t have the time or clean space to open it up at the moment. I guess I"ll be putting it back in and running it as is until sometime this winter. At least having it out gave me a chance to clean it really well.- tegger

My recently acquired cub has a leak on the side of the hydro unit. It appears to be coming from where the trunnion shaft enters the trans on the right side. I was going to start a new topic with this, but it is a general question about this tractor so... How exactly are you supposed to get the 60" mower deck under the tractor to mount it? I figured it was just a slide out thing, but I was having issues getting it out without having it stuck against...- tegger

That is exactly what I thought. I about fell over laughing when he said that the flex couplers "always broke" every 3-4 years. I checked the serial, and it was made in 1988. I just bought a 1572 cub cadet from a friend of mine, and I was wondering what problems/things I should be looking out for.
