Ford 4000 4 cylinder SOS leaking fluid

Split the tractor and it was obvious that transmission fluid was leaking around pump seal. Removed the pump and knocked out the seal and will try to find one tomorrow.

Ford 4000 4 cylinder SOS leaking fluid

It is a drip drip drip (pretty steady) but not a flow while it is running and then for a couple minutes after I shut it off. I don"t know what kind of oil it is yet. I thought it was the rear main and put in the quart of "mechanic in a bottle" rear main seal "repair" and it shut off the drips...

Ford 4000 4 cylinder SOS leaking fluid

Good evening all. I have a 1963 ford industrial SOS that is leaking oil out the cotter pin hole behind the engine plate. What is the likely source and repair options? Already had to split at the differential. Thought the oil pressure switch was broke off. Couldn't get it out with an easy out...

Ford 861 12 Volt Generator charging problem

I took the old generator in to the electrical shop and the first thing they said was 'I bet your voltage regulator is shot'. It was pulling heavy from 'field' and only putting out a few amps. I will follow your advice Sound Guy to check it out. Going to buy a new voltage regulator regardless...

    MM 335 rear axle seals

I found the seals. I had to order four because the originals were 3/4 inch thick and new ones are only 3/8 inch thick. I will post dimensions and seal numbers tomorrow.

    MM 335 rear axle seals

Are you sure the 23844 isn"t for the 445. Oreillys says the 23844 fits on 2.75 inch shaft and the 335 is not nearly that thick.

    MM 335 rear axle seals

Does anyone know where I can get a pair of rear axle seals for a 335? What are the CR or National equivalent numbers? Thanks.

    MM 445 rear seals

Well I guess this is a 335, not a 445. There is no removable hub on the axle. Guess I will have to take off the top cover. Any suggestions?

Ford 861 - 3 pt. lift not working.

I'll have to look at the plate. I hope that is the problem. The lift worked SO good before. Maybe I'll just fix the ruptured hose on the remote and put it back on. More $$$$$$$. I could write a volume of novels on this tractor. Loader, clutch, head, manifold, carburetor, brakes, gauges...

Ford 861 - 3 pt. lift not working.

I haven't taken apart the pump yet since it worked so well prior to removing the remote valve. I talked to another guy and he said I could have used a block off plate from a 3000 which will bolt on but the holes don't line up.

Ford 861 - 3 pt. lift not working.

Ford 861. Lift worked fine with remote valve. Removed remote valve and replaced with block off plate. Now it doesn"t lift. Removed plug in pump and no oil is coming out when running. Proofmeter is working fine and pump "sounds" normal. Blew air through large (return?) line and could hear...
