Ford Tractor Governor
Thank you all for all the help. It was greatly appreciated. The carb is brand new, so I'm thinking adjusting that and the linkage will do the trick. At least I hope so. P.S. The oil is new also. Thanks again, Bob L.- Bob Livingston

Thank you for your help. I take it, it"s either an adjustment on the carb or linkage, or do I need to replace the governor.- Bob Livingston

Ford Tractor Governor
I have a 62 Ford Tractor 851, 172 cid gas engine, and it will surge up and down in any gear under a load. My question is, What purpose does the Governor serve, and can it be connected without causing any harm to anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks- Bob Livingston
