Can anyone identify what model tractor this is?

Looks like that might be a 300 or 350 row crop.

    First tractor, ID help

Check the oil level in the lift reservoir first. If the oil level is low, it will not lift. Do not use any oil with a weight heavier than 30. It will work best with Dextron II.

    Disel fuel line repair

I have a fuel line that a previous owner inserted a section of rubber hose. Has anyone had experience with inserting a section of steel pipe with brass compression fittings to repair the line. The part is not available, and the piece has some rather tight curves.

    IH blue paint

No way. The Ford paint is a bright blue and the IH implement blue is a dark navy. Some parts stores have it in rattle cans and I have seen it in quart and gallon cans. I have found it at ACE Hardware, and I believe it was ORileys.

I left my 200 switched on for a few days.

Got it going today! Sometimes it is something simple and this time it was. By the way, thanks to all of you for your comments which would normally be spot on. It was a bad battery clamp on the negative side. No or little current to the starter and no reliable current to the distributor. I had...

I left my 200 switched on for a few days.

It killed the battery and who knows what else. I have replaced the coil and battery already but still not running. What is the damage I can expect from leaving the switch in the "on" position?

    Super A

Engine oil is just 30 WHD. You understand that there was no power steering on the Super A. I understand that the best hydraulic oil would be transmission fluid.

    Garden Plowing

I never said I felt somehow superior to these guys recording their efforts. I watched just to be reminded of days gone by because I still love to see the old equipment work. If they wanted some input from those of us that used the old equipment instead of acting like they have figured it all...

    Garden Plowing

I know it might be that I am a little cranky, but these guys posting on social media on how to plow, how to plant, how to cultivate, etc. and it becomes obvious that they haven't plowed 10 acres in their entire lives gets to me. They might be planting sweet corn using an old Cole or Covington...

    My Uncles Tractors

My first cousins, all girls, are now ready to clear out all my uncle's old Farmall tractors and equipment. He died in the early 2000's and the tractors have not run since. The SA will turn over but will need lots of TLC to get it going again. The SC is stuck, but it does have a custom 3-point...

    Picker tractor

Take a look at this post. It shows a cotton picker mounted on an M with no rear PTO shaft. I was under the impression that the belt drive was used to power the picker. M with Mounted Cotton Picker

    PTO RPM?

I am in my mid 70's and my dad had Farmall tractors from the time I can first remember. We also ran Fords. When I started driving at about 12, I suspected that the PTO on the Farmalls were slower. Looks like I was probably correct.

    B Farmall Plow

Those wheels can be narrowed even on the B by dishing the wheel centers and switching the tires like we did on the old Fords and Fergusons.

    Is this a Farmall wrench?

Dad bought a Fordson Dexter 2000 back in the mid 1960 and it came with a wrench much like that. It fit the 1 1/16 lug nuts for the rear wheels as well as the nuts for the rim loop bolts. It was easy to fit a pipe over the extension handle for tight bolts. Did you ever say the size of the socket?

    quick hitch bush hog

The PTO shaft does not need to line up directly behind the PTO spindle on the tractor to work properly. It will not vibrate as long as the mower is mounted directly behind the tractor even if the PTO shaft is offset. A pull type implement will vibrate during a turn because the tractor and the...

Super C Sickle Mower axel clamp or cylinder stop?

I have one and the rear cylinder lift normally is in the lower position when the mower is in operation. The mower is lifted exactly as when the mower was axel mounted with a rod to the left front rock shaft. I do not see why both level limit stabilizers would be required but it would be safer it...

Hooked on the 15ft 470 disc to the SMTA

We pulled that same disk in third with a 656D in loamy-sand or sandy-loam soil. We did not use dual wheels but neither did we drop the disk down to the spools in plowed ground. The purpose there was to smooth the ground and kill the early spring weeds before planting so deep just wasted fuel...

    Super C Fast Hitch

It has standard O rings. I have rebuilt mine with rings from the parts store.

Teach us about the Farmall 140

I bees an Ag Engineer. The offset PTO will not cause problems with three point or one point equipment as long as the shaft ends are co-linear, that is they both point in the same direction. Any PTO will vibrate if the shaft ends are not co-linear, example when turning a pull behind PTO driven...

No More Points and Condenser on the 200

It looked like I was going to have to replace the distributor or at least do a complete re-build. I am sure the power lead to the points had shorted out. I decided to install an electronic ignition and wow! I will never go back. Once I got the new ignition installed and gasoline in the tank it...
