    3000 Diesel and 4000 Gas

    Can anyone tell me what the horsepower is for a 3000 Diesel 3 cylinder, and a 3 Cylinder 4000 Gas. Any response is greatly appreciated.

    Can anyone give me any good reason to buy a 4000 ford diesel with a selec-o-matic transmission? I have always been told to run away from these transmissions, is there anything to this?

    3 point lift

    it is a 49 8n, and I took the pump apart and all the springs seemed to be ok, and I didn't really find any trash in there either, but I couldn't tell if the valves were any good or not.

    3 point lift

    I had the problem with the lift not lifting any weight, and then not going back down. Well now the lift is lifting strong, but it still wont go down. I released the drain pipe plug and it immediately went down, so does that mean my exhaust valve is not working properly, and if so can you buy...

    yes, once I release plug, the lift will go down.

    8n lift problems

    I just bought an 8n and the guy said he rebuilt the hydraulic pump, but it will not lift anything. It will go up with no weight on it, but then it won"t go down. I have cleaned out the entire system and changed the oil twice, but nothing changes. Am I missing something, or do I need to rebuild...
