    Looking at new insulation for my 4030 tractor. Insulation kits say it depends on my seat base size (9" or 11"). What are they talking about? Is there a chart somewhere that tells you this depending on your serial number? thanks!!!

    Looking at a NH 495 haybine. Couple questions. What is the size and the stroke length of the hydraulic cylinder that lifts the head? Is there any conditioner you can put on the rubber drums to help keep them from drying out. thanks

    4030 tractor starting

    don't use the ether button to start it. Don't even have a can hooked onto it. But I did use it out of curiousity to see what the gauge would do.

    thanks for all the ideas! Batteries checked out fine when I put them in. Understand the hydraulic leak idea, but still think it is electrical because the gauge drops even when I hit ether button. Just confusing as I checked all cables over. Cable that runs under cab is the one I did not...

    thanks for quick response. Wondering if I still have a bad connection somewhere. Gauge does not show high amps and goes way down when I crank. Confused.... Have new batteries and cleaned all ends and or changed them.

    owned the tractor for several years, always started and cranked well. Started cranking slower. Bought new batteries, cleaned cables, changes some ends. Still cranks slow. Any thoughts before I start buying solenoid / starter? thanks

    I have a 1976 4030 with a 148 loader piped into the tractor's system. When I put my 3pt cultivator on the back (and lift all the way up) the loader is very slow moving and the cultivator will bounce. Fluid levels are good and fluid is clean. Any thoughts on why and if it can be fixed...
