    horsepower gains on a 60

    I pull a 55 Jd 60 and would like to get as much power out of it as i could without a major over haul. Anyone else have a 60 that tried something that worked without spending a fortune? Any help would be appreciated.

    1030 cracked heads/sleaves/repairs

    I'm wondering if any of you seasoned 1030 builders think this is typical damage for 18 months after overhaul. It looks to me that the sleave in photo 1 has been eating water for quite awhile.     Still pushing Snow

    My neighbors don t laugh anymore when there fancy enclosed cab snow blower quit and our old girl started and not only pushed my driveway but theirs. We have had more snow than normal for our part of the country. I wanted let averyone know we oun a great tractor.

    TO-20 stumper

    Double check the wires on the plugs to the distributer the firing order is on the side of the block. It sounds like there are wires crossed. Like Jeff wrote adjust the power valve 1 and 1/4 open. There are some smart folks on this site you will find the problem. Regards, John

    Will I need to load my tires?

    Chuck, I have to agree with Richard if you need it after you try it ok. I pull 2 14in. Ford plows with our TO-20 and works great. Instead of tire loading try to find axle weights thats if you need them. Regards, John

    My parents had a IH frig for about 30-35 years my dad liked it mom said it was the first self defrosting style made it had a basin you needed to empty after defrost. In the 50`s that was big stuff. Thanks for the memories. John
