Found another early’39 9n yesterday. They are still out there
I don't think that is a 39. The rear axle hubs have rivets and a 30 does not have rivets. The end of the axle is smooth on a thirty-nine.Found another early’39 9n yesterday. They are still out there
Those smooth butt-welded hubs were fragile and sheared at the weld between the axle and hub frequently and many were replaced with the stronger riveted version. Does not keep it from being a 39 model.I don't think that is a 39. The rear axle hubs have rivets and a 30 does not have rivets. The end of the axle is smooth on a thirty-nine.

Yes both 147 and189 have same oil breather cap as yours. Here’s Kenton Tiller’s #59 engineWe will have to do some research and have a talk about oil breather caps on early 9n's. Both 90 and 91 came with that same cap. How will I ever find a hood for 481 if you keep getting them first............Nice find
