Tractor will only run for about 60 seconds then shuts off but will restart right away.I flushed tank and installed a new fuel filter but it still will not run longer than 60 seconds or so.

Gas or Diesel?
Hot or cold?

If it is a gas, remove the fuel line from the carb, does the gas flow out smoothly or does it trickle out? Check for blockage in the tank and the bowl.

its a diesel and on cold starts

Check & clean, screen in fitting on Inj. pump, It's were line from filters inters pump.. and on return from pump to tank there maybe elbow fitting with check valve? It could be clogged; If clogged , Inj. could be going bad & need rebuilt.... page from ser. man. , may need magnify...

Do you have the return line from the pump shut off? Will cause it to
do what yours is doing.

If it does it all the time, hot or cold, it's
likely the plastic dampener in the governor has
broken apart and is plugging your return-fuel
circuit.

hi I have a diesel also had the same trouble ,I had to rebuild the injector pump ,costly but works great now

Simple test for plugged inj pump check valve is loosen 2 screws holding timing window on inj pump then pry gasket loose if stuck. Attempt to crank engine and if it runs longer than it's be running check valve is plugged and drive ring is deteriorating.
