Hello,

I have a 1020 with a 47 loader and the left hand lift cylinder is leaking from the rod end. I am assuming that it is the rod seal. Would this be a good assumption? Anyone got any tips on reair this? Or cylinder rebuilding?

Cylinder kit AC14646 is NLA from JD.

What holds the rod into the cylinder
barrel? Once the rod is out I am assuming
you remove the nut on the back side of the
piston, remove all the items and then
reassemble. Correct?

Remove snap ring(parts key 15) then tap guide into barrel to expose another snap ring(parts key 16) which one removes then remove guide from barrel. Yes nut & piston must be removed from rod.
