1030 clutch

One of my pressure plate figure pivots has stripped the 5/8 fine thread out. So the clutch doesn't release....Is there a fix for that

replace pressure plate. something dont look right... the nut should always be flush with bolt on any application minimum. if you were in a real bind replace the nut and clean up those threads.

How easy is it to split it has no cab

Not bad. Steering shaft is biggest paint with them

100% correct. The steering column/dash assembly unbolts from the top of the clutch housing and just barely clears the housing lip as you move it forward with the engine. It has to be hung up in some manner to allow this to happen. Otherwise pretty simple job. We just re-did our 1030 last summer. Don

I always take the steering shaft apart at the knuckle under the radiator. Then you don't need to mess with the steering column but you do need to disconnect the wires and such. Still a pain and may not be easier.
