1030 direct injection

Hello, need some help. I have a 1030 western with a window in the crank case. I am wanting to know if I can use a later direct injection block, but still have the fuel pump on the right side? Can I switch timing covers? I know the fuel lines will be fun but not sure about everything else working.
Thanks for the help!!

You can replace the complete engine with a 70 series motor, there isn't anyway to leave the fuel pump on the right side, the motors have the same bolt pattern front and rear but your power steering pump, radiator hoses, steering shaft and several other things will have to be modified to make this work.

Thank you. I was just hoping to be able to leave the pump on the right side. I planned to use the complete engine so the Bowl and flat top pistons will not be an issue.
Thanks again

There is no way to move the pump to the other side. It's not a hard job to put a 70 series engine in, otherwise you will need a 30 series block. Technically I suppose you could change everything over, but the pump I'll have to stay on the wrong side. I've put 70 series parts on a 30 series block, so I would think it would work the other way as well.
