1030 primer pump

I followed some of the suggestions posted here about fuel flow restrictions and found a lot of crud when I disassembled my primer pump. It ran free from the bottom of the tank and I replaced the 2 filters. Do the two primer pump discs get put back in facing in the same direction or opposite directions?

Yes they go in facing the same direction. The spring toward the filter. So it would be the nipple part toward the filter. I am going to put a inline filter just before my primer in the near future. I cleaned out my primer only to find a whole bunch of ear wicks in it. Talk about strange.

Thanks - that did the trick - all sort of junk clogging those small disks - some small metal wirelike pieces also.
I dropped that small copper washer from the primer pump and had to search a while in the grass.
