1030 stuck clutch

Ok so I have fought the clutch on my 1030 for my 18 years of owning it and I am in the process of restoring it I would like to fix it. So the foot clutch is stuck in ounce you push it in you have to kick it with your heel to the engaged position. I don't know if I could simply lube it up or if it needs a new clutch seems like when I use it alot it gets easier

Make sure the pedal is free on it's piviot stub shaft, and make sure the clutch fork shaft that goes into the bellhousing pivots freely. Both are in the pic and easy to check out.

I have a 1966 830. Perhaps the clutch set-up is similar to 1030. Our one got stuck and we found it had a needle roller bearing in the pivot of the foot pedal. It had got dry and dusty and no provision to lubricate so we cleaned it all out and fitted a grease nipple into the "housing" of the bearing, that is in the bottom of the pedal lever and no problems since. That was about 45 years ago -- still going.

Alright so I looked at the 1030 last night it seems like the part that goes into the housing toward the rear is where the problem is

The rear shaft sticking out, that the clutch pedal rotates on is screwed into the tranny housing and is a pivot shaft. If the pedal is hanging up on that, lube it well to free it.
If the pic confused you and you are refering to the shaft with the leverarm protruding down with a clevis on it from the pedal, then you may need to replace the needle bearings on the clutch fork shaft. They can get dry and act as a sprage, and lock the shaft up, not allowing it to release.
I'm not ruleing out an internal problem with the clutch disc, splined input shaft, and-or throw out bearing/fork assy. Get the outside linkage all working freely and then go inside if necessary, which means splitting the tractor.

So I sprayed all of the exterior parts of the clutch with pb blaster it helped a Lil but didn't solve the problem this leeds me to believe it's and internal problem guess I will be splitting the ol tractor which is the last thing I wanted to. This 1030 just seems huge to split in half
