1066 double split? stuck

The gear that rides on the ipto gear is bad the one right below it. I need the ta housing to move ahead a few inches until it will fall off the bottom shaft. Do I need to take the range cover off? Or is it just the bolts on the outside, bottom and both sidesof of the ta housing. It is hung up.

NO what ya need to do is remove the bottom cover below the PTO driven gear and use a pry bar and do a little wiggle on that gear and it will fall out that is what is holding you .

Cabs are a necessary evil. They increase the cost of repairs in labor tremendously. Before you put it back together, take that side cover off, if you haven't already. You need to make sure that pilot bearing on pinion shaft does not get damaged. Put a rubber band around the rollers to hold them tight and just leave the rubber band. It will eventually show up in the hydraulic filter and look pretty snotty.

What's the gear called? That rides on the ipto and drives the pump. I have a smaller gear but the bigger ipto shaft doesn't look as nice as my two year old one. my two year old one lost a tooth though so. How much would that speed up my pto? It runs a big rd baler with 1000rpm pto.
