1066 tire options

Still looking at purchasing a 1066 that is local. The
ground I bale on is fairly hilly. Are there 34 rear
farmall centers that fit a 1066? I would really like it if
the thing sat down just a little more than it does.
Would probably put slightly shorter front rim tire
combo, to set the front down as well. If not 1066
what model rear center fits that big axle ? Thank
you in advance . LH

You round bale, and want to get a lower center of gravity, My bother would trade you his 34in tires of his 756, but the axles are a different size, he wants to go to 16.9 - 38 for his baling tractor

You will be fine on the 38's if you set your tire spacing for a 38 inch row center. You want hill come on over i'll be glad to show you what we farm on . Can we say pucker factor . and we run a 1066 baling on the side hills . Load the rears and don't worry about it just drive sensible and watch out for ground hog holes if you have them critters.

You are only 'looseing' 2" of hieght with a 34" wheel over the 38" wheel. Keep your 18.4x38s. If its too steep for 38" tires,it's too steep for 34".

Like has been said set the wheels wider on the axle and stay with the taller tires or the drawbar will get too close to the ground and leave less room for the windrow of hay to fit and can start to push and bunch up under the tractor we have baled some very bad spots with the wheels wide enough to straddle 3 30 inch rows 90 inches ok on center and never though about tipping it also keeps the tires off of the hay when feeding the outside of the bailed or if you need narrow wheel setting put duals on to widen it out
