1070 and single action cylinder

I just got a 3 point hitch forklift for the 1070 and the lift has a single action cylinder on it.
How do I hook up a single action hydraulic cylinder on a 1070?
Thanks, George

You can just use one hose fine. If you
don't want to bypass for lowering you can
hook a hose to the other coupler and dump
back into the housing.

The tractor is new to me. Not sure what you mean by "bypass for lowering".

If I hook a hose to the other coupling, I'd be dumping right into the hydraulic filler to the left of the pto?

Also, on the tractor outlets, it's top left paired to top right, and bottom left to bottom right?

Thanks very much for your help.

Most single acting cyl's can be made into double acting cyl's, simply by running another hose to the cyl.. Look for a port on the other
end of the cyl. with a pipe plug installed.

When you use only one side like that when
you push the lever to lower the oil from
the other side has no where to go, so it
just goes through the relief and back into
the system. That s fine for occasional use,
but I your using it a lot it will be better
o hook a hose to the other coupler and
plumb it back into the housing so it
doesn't go through the relief. You ca also
just pus the lever just enough so it lowers
but doesn't push oil through the other
side, but that is a pain if you use it a
lot.

Yes pairs are 2 on top and 2 on bottom on
those.

John if he has an actual forklift mast that is not an option on those cylinders. Can you direct him to any other plugs etc. that dump back in the rear end case? I suppose the fill is alright I think the transmission is vent elsewhere correct? We had a 1070 on the farm when I was growing up my uncle still has it. We always just used double acting cylinders on it.
