All tie rod ends are good and steers fine but on right side you can turn wheel and move the what I call steering arm that attaches to the top of the spindle moves a good 3" without moving the actual spindle/tire/wheel at all. Are there splines on top or key way or would spindle itself be broken in it's housing? Looking for rough cost/availability of parts and maybe pictoral view. Sold all my service manuals. Knew I should have kept that one. Thanks in advance. RB ( Open station 8 speed 1975 model) kind of unusual.

sounds like the steering arm is worn badly in the splines, the spindle usually do not wear as they are harder than the arm, you can remove a few shims under the arm and see if it will tighten up, the steering arms are not to bad think the last ones I got was around 100.00 or under been a while since I bought any

If you have more time than money, I have seen my 90 year old uncle cut a slit in the arm, weld a spacer to each side of the slit and bolt the two sides together to clamp it to the spindle on his 970 loader tractor. (He has more money than time, but prefers not to spend it)
