I recently purchased a 1070 with transmission problems Im getting 60 psis at the lube port on power shift control and I have no power steering and acts like tranny is slipping in every range and no reverse works 3 pt arms work as well as pro unsure of the remotes working at this time

Watch the lube pressure when you cramp the steering, what does it do when cramped? The very earliest series with the small splined torque limiter could cause problems if the limiter slips serial number of the transmission is needed, Rt side of tranny down low ahead of the brake housing should be a sn plate.

76, if this is the same tractor you were inquiring about the end of March, go back and re read all the info given there. There really isn't much more to add than what we already said, if the hydraulics work full time , even if it is the early TL clutch plate it still drives the hydraulic pump and you said the hydraulics are ok. PLEASE, have the 8 gpm side of the main hydraulic pump checked, AS I told you before, Steering and power brakes if so equipped work solely of the 8 pm pump. Until you get that circuit evaluated we have no info to work with!

Sitting at idle the tranny pressure gauge on the dash is in the red
when you push the clutch in it goes barely to the green I took the
valve body apart and cleaned it put it back together changed filters
so next move is to get pump looked at

Do a pressure and flow test then you will know where the problem is rather than guessing. If you dont have the tools to do it then hire some one that does.It will save you money and grief down the road.

I cracked the hoses coming off the pump and fluid didnt spray out of the smaller one so I took the pump off disassembled the pump to fin some bad 3 piece seals ordered the kit from messicks yesterday find out next weekend if thats my problem

76 while apart, make sure the bushings are tight and there is no wear in the aluminum housing where the gear tips run, if all is good put the seals in and lube the pump thoroughly so no dry start. a thick oil would not hurt a thing. BTW, the small line is the 8 GPM pump.
