Hey guys,
I'm working on our 1086, going to fix the oil leak at the ends of the load control shaft. I am swapping the centers/wheels/tires over to our 1486 since the 1486 has 18.4's on it and the 1086 has 20.8's, and the 1486 does most of the heavy tillage anyway. And, I'm doing an inner axle bearings on the 1486 right now, so I already have the wheel off that. So, that means the wheels won't be in the way of pulling that load control shaft out of the 1086. Then, it looks like the easiest way to unhook/remove that linkage inside the rear end is to remove the PTO assembly? I'm going to do bushings and seals on the load control shaft, but does the shaft usually get replaced too? We don't use the 3 point, that's why we took the arms off it so they weren't just banging around back there. Also, is there an O-ring for the HYD/MCV system in there somewhere that is one of the air leakers? Or is the one I'm thinking of back there the one between the trans/rear end case? Maybe I'm thinking of one behind the HYD filter I can change while then oil is drained out? Just looking for some pointers here, never had to mess with that load control shaft, the IT manual doesn't hardly explain it, and I don't want to cause myself more work if there is a better way. Thanks ALOT guys!
