1130 left brake won't release

I do not use the left brake on my Massey 1130 since when you press it, it locks and you have to rock the tractor back and forth for a while before it will release. The 1130 also has a mico brake on the left brake that I used to set as a parking brake...I have subsequently read that you should only use mico brakes for short periods of time. In my mind I am thinking there must be a return spring or something that is stretched or broken to release the brake? The mechanics I know don't know enough about a Massey to know what to look for? I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. It has been like this for some time and I would like to fix it, but don't know what to do...I recently ordered a parts manual hoping I can see something on it that may help understand how to fix the problem. Thanks in advance for your input.

What year 1130? The 120 HP 1965-1972 tractors had hydraulic power disc brakes, never saw those stick. They did not use the brakes for park either as they had a park lock gear on the diff input shaft.

I think it is a 1972. Park does not work, so someone put a Mico brake on the left brake before I bought it. Sticking apparently is pretty odd, as I still have yet to talk to someone who thinks they know what is wrong.

Ive seen some of those tractors with the park you are talking about but had no idea how they worked, just never been around them. The pawls have always worked for me, 1100 and 2000 series. As for the brake sticking is it more the pettle sticking and not coming back up?
