1170 Alternator

Just put a new alternator on my 1170. Now the alternator light comes on when I shut the key off. Any ideas?

What brand alt. did you install? The original Prestolite would do that if the isolation diode within the alternator has failed.

Most update to the much superior Delco 10SI alternator.
