1206 hitch problem

I was plowing this evening with my 1206, everything going OK, until all of a sudden the fast hitch wouldn't go all the way down. It would go down about 10 inches, then stop, leaving the front of the plow about a foot off the ground. I kept lifting it up and putting it down, but nothing changed. It only would do down 10 inches,then stop. I will have to call a mechanic tomorrow, but thought I would inquire if anyone else ever experienced this issue?

what position is your draft control in , it can effect the lowering

It was unchanged. I did eventually move it back and forth, but it made no difference.

I'll bet ya a dollar that you hit something and the tractor jerked really hard didn't it ?

Ive had a similar problem before. There is a draft control arm in the rear end that do to wear in linkages pops out of place. I took the top link holder off the rear end and could see it from there. It runs from the bottom of the rear end up to the 3 point cylinder.
