We have a 1206 that the injection pump finally quit so we had it rebuilt. Does anyone know how to changes the shaft seals? Would like to change them before the pump goes back on.

The shaft seals are in the drive adapter the pump bolts to, NOT in the pump like other Roosa/Stanadyne pumps. The 361/407 pumps I repair I insist the drive adapter is
sent too so I can install new seals. To remove the adapter remove the front gear four bolt gear cover, then the gear nut and washer from the shaft. Remove the three
adapter bolts and pull the assembly rearward out of the gear. There's a small wire ring that holds the bearing in the housing front to remove, then the bearing/shaft will
slide out. The two seals are under the snap ring inside the housing, and the mounting O ring should also be replaced.
