1210 David Brown power steerin pump combo

Anyone ever change the filter and fluid in a 1210 power steering/resivoir unit before? Just wondering if it is a difficult job or not. Any tips?

hi mdhill its been a while since i done the power steering filter i used to loosen the lift pump or priming pump if you prefer, dont loosen the pipes,loosen the return pipe at the back of the power steer pump cover probably stating the obvious here, i think the priming pump should move out of the way enough to pull the filter out if i remember correctly the filter can be akward to hold in position when you are putting the cover back on.hope this helps tom just took a anther look at your pics theres a 9/16"nut on the underside of the air intake manifold which has a clamp which holds the pipe coming from the back of the priming pump loosen it it may help with moving the priming pump.sorry for the long winded reply
