1270 slipping

I recently bought a case 1270 I was running my molehill Destroyer in some old pasture when all of a sudden I lost Drive.
It did not quit completely but felt like the tires were spinning but they we're not.
I stopped raised to implement and started again and it seemed to run fine I was running in 3rd gear and second power shift it did it again about 20 minutes later but then where is good for about an hour after that again
Would you guys say that sounds like powershift or clutch
FYI it looks like the rear main crank seal is leaking I don't know if it's putting oil on the clutch plate or if that is even the possibility

Peter, generally speaking if the slippage is only occurring in one or two of the powershift positions and the other one or two pull good the problem is in the powershift.
If you are able to get the slippage to occur in all three PS positions the problem could be the torque limiter clutch, however if there is low trans press it is possible
for all three PS positions to slip. By doing a pressure check to all PS circuits and shifts one could confirm what is at fault. Rod.

Rod i have access to a good pressure guage set and i am a automotive tech - would you be able to tell me hoe to test for this concern

I used tractor to disk today and noticed the pressure on the guage is lower when in 2nd powershift than when it is in 1and 3.
Is there any adjustment?
I have a set of filter i am going to.put in.Do you loose alot of fluid changing them?

lower pressure in 2nd ps indicates a leakage in the c3 circuit, It is my opinion that the capscrews that hold c2/c3 carrier have broken allowing c3 oil pressure to leak off where the hub and clutch plate carrier mate. I think the reaso that you do not see that pressure loss in 3rd range is that both c2 and c3 are engaged causin c2 colutch pressure to force the piston carrier back and partially reseal the leak, could be wrong but that is the way I see it...If it was a c1 problem it should show up in low powershift as well.
